COMPANY NEWS
Green America Certification
Nomadics Tipi Makers received certification as a member of ‘Green America’ in 2018. We were able to show compliance with all building blocks of a ‘green business’, as described in a featured article from their Spring 2026 publication. These building blocks are Environmental Sustainability, Health & Safety, Life/Work Balance, Fair Pay & Pay Clarity and Anti-Discrimination & Equity. Being women owned and operated, we place specific emphasis on treating our employees with fairness and respect, acknowledging that we are all thriving to live a healthy, joyous life and that the time we spend at work should help achieve this goal, not stand in the way. – Thank you to our customers, who are the reason that we can continue making beautiful, high quality tipis while truly enjoying our work.
ART DEPARTMENT
From Tattoos to Tipis
The inspiration for tipi art is often very personal – and sometimes very unique as well. We have received photos from wall decorations of favorite rooms, sketches and accounts of beings and locations experienced in dreams, and …. close up images of tattoos. This customer asked us to replicate the tattoo on their arm onto the center back of the interior liner, with a very specific border decoration design around it. Our artists received creative freedom to adapt the image and we felt that the interpretation and color choices worked really well; which was confirmed by yet another happy customer.
VACATION
5 Star Tipi Glamping in Westminster, SC
If you enjoy adventure, you will have an unforgettable stay with Kim in South Carolina, who purchased one of our largest tipis and had it painted with animals of the woods. It is beautifully decorated, with a little bathroom inside, cozy beds, outside shower and cooking facility – Ideal for a family outing where you immerse yourself in Nature, with the river just down the banks.</div>
<div>Kim is a guest favorite on airbnb, and she writes: “Adawehi is the spirit of healing in the Cherokee language. Reconnect with the natural world and escape the rush of everyday life. Tipi comfortably accommodates up to 3 adults and 2 children. Swim, tube or fish the scenic and calm Chauga River
