Shirley is a long time customer and she had several tipis from us, which she uses for gatherings and ceremonies as well as the inspiration for her book, which we will introduce in the February Newsletter.
Our Nomadics Tipi Photo Contest got off to a good start, with beautiful photo entries that we were able to choose from for our Calendar 2025. Our winners got notified and we will start each Newsletter in 2025 with the Photo Contest Winner of the month, such as you can see above.
We still have around 50 calendars for sale and would love to find a good home for them. Each calendar measures 9” x 11” and is printed on sturdy matte cardboard stock, so sturdy it stands on its own. We charge $29 + $5 shipping, in order to donate a $12 profit for each calendar to NAYO, the Native American Youth Organization at Pine Ridge. You may donate less for multiple calendars or donate more, such as Stephanie S. did, who gave us a check over $100 for one calendar, resulting in a $83 donation. Thank you so much!!!

You could start with a totem animal/s, an image from your home or off the web, or simply a theme based on a symbol, color or pattern. Whatever it is, our talented artists can work with you to create something personal and unique for your tipi

Our Commitment To 1% For The Planet
We are a very proud member of the “1% For The Planet” family, pledging to donate 1% of our gross sales to environmental partners every year since 2020. Furthermore, our donations go back to Native American Organizations such as Red Cloud Renewable (www.redcloudrenewable.org) who are teaching young native students to install solar panels at reservation residences, or the Sacred Defense Fund (www.sacreddefense.org) on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, 1% for the Planet is a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. Nicole attended their global summit in November 2024 and engaged in meaningful conversation such as the education about the use of Land Acknowledgements and food bank programs that could be implemented on reservation land.
